Stephen J Proctor Jr - I notice Yage Magazine is published by Punk Collective. Can you tell me a little about what Punk Collective is?
Jared Forman - Yage Punk Collective was started over a record label Yage Records. In 2016 I released the Facedowninshit early years cassette. Today the Collective has close to 50 world administrators and 8.2k members.
Stephen J Proctor Jr - Why did you launch a paper print magazine in the age of the Internet?
Jared Forman - We launched Yage Punk Collective magazine, as there are very little magazines at the moment. A perfect way of sharing our love for Punk and politics. I released " Down the Punk Rock Highway", last year. I was in the process of a 2nd book, and decided to switch gears to a magazine with the Collective. The first half is cut and paste to 6x9. Luckily the printer was able to fix it.

Stephen J Proctor Jr - What kind of bands do you interview?
Jared Forman - I interview a lot of 80s bands that are active. This issue has a mix of old and new from New Model Army to Bev. Rage & the drinks. I'm looking to interview a wide mix of bands from Punk veterans to the band that just formed.
Stephen J Proctor Jr - What is the most interesting place you've interviewed a band?
Jared Forman - Most of my interviews take place via written. The last interview I did with a boom box was Mark from Destroy!
Stephen J Proctor Jr - How many band / artists interviews can we expect with each issue?
Jared Forman - This first issue is 40 pages, we're hoping for every issue to increase in size. We have more columnists and a great start for issue 2, which comes out on November.
Stephen J Proctor Jr - Any particular reason this was printed on newsprint paper?
Jared Forman - In 2007 I printed the 2nd and final issue of A Beat Of Our Own. 3,000 copies on newsprint and was itching to do another newsprint magazine.

Stephen J Proctor Jr - Where is Yage Magazine selling?
Jared Forman - The zine is first making it's way out there. It's available from an assortment of labels/ distributors/ Book stores across the U S. And beyond. We hope that more people will get involved, through taking out ads to picking up the pen.
Stephen J Proctor Jr - Who can we expect to read about in issue #2. Any tips or heads up?
Jared Forman - Issue 2, will be even more hard hitting than one. It'll be time to pick up the glue stick soon~
