With all this DOGE cost cutting it's interesting to know that Current Phonograph is being directly negatively affected.

CP advertise with Razorcake magazine because it's cheap, on topic, & these government art grant help keep their advertising rates down. It's great 4 any small business. Also they cover similar eclectic music that other larger publication would snub

Last year we were stoked to learn that Razorcake was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. It was kind of a big deal for us. Last month Trump cancelled this grant, taking money out of our pockets.

Why did he do this? Because he wants to kill art organizations that bring people like us together. Well, we’re not going to let that happen.

Razorcake does not rely on the government for support. (It would be weird if we did.) We rely on each other. Always have and always will.

But these grants help us grow. NEA grants are hard to get and require a ton of time and effort. This was only our second time getting one and frankly it sucks that it’s being taken away from us.
