Have A Cigar
Iggy & the Stooges is a cool band from Ann Arbor, Michigan. World famous. I found their 7"called "Sick of you" on Current Phonograph & thought I would shine the spotlight on this single.
A Side is Produced by James Williamson, the stooges start of with a mid tempo garage rock style melody of electric guitars, bass & drums. About half way thru, the tempo picks up into an angry rant. Classic Iggy Pop lyrics include...
"Sick of hanging in around your pad
Sick of your mom and sick of your dad
Yes and Betsy it's sad but true
Now I'm even sick of you" - Iggy Pop
Sick of your mom and sick of your dad
Yes and Betsy it's sad but true
Now I'm even sick of you" - Iggy Pop
Its truly a great indie song, excellent music & lyrics.
I can imagine Iggy raising his fingers in defiance (like this blog image) as he tells his LUV she's toast.
Both B Sides on this 7" are stellar too & all songs on this vinyl record should end up on your mixed tape
