Born from the ashes to ashes of a pandemic overstaying its projected expiration, you can’t make up HEX CODE — it’s the sort of band formed from a big bang writhing out of the member’s internal dystopias; reassembling shards bereft of alibi other than: you’re broken, you’re by it. Finally, guilt by association—when back in the old world, even in the same urban village of Long Beach, kindred spirits Mary Animaux and Veronica Cruz didn’t cross paths until now; because maybe the world was always this shattered and maybe sometimes it takes a bigger disaster to shake up the pieces and get truly with it.
HEX CODE’s rhythm is rounded out by Redd (BELLHAUNTS) on drums and Lily Stretz (MEOW TWINS) on bass, under unison vox by Mary and Veronica on organ and guitar.
